I have been working hard and am about two-thirds done with the booth. Thinking of throwing a party in the pub after the tradeshow is over, anyone in? DJ Swan, Case's of the Shaw and only miller products, just keepin to my roots of the MKE.

Digital VS Film?

As I was doing a photo history report on contemporary photography I stumbled upon this image of Robert Frank and felt it addressed my feeling of digital capture vs. film. Even though I compose images with a large format camera, digital does not have the romanticism that film has and destroys the “negative’s” foundation in photography. Relying upon your skill and gut felling that your image will turn out on the negative is one of the things that I love about photography. I don't just love photography, but the creative and technical process is what makes it such a personal experience for myself.

English Pub Anyone?

Fish and Chips

Just got back from London, so expensive, everything is twice the price! Had Christmas dinner with a few good friends and a great close to an even better year. Checked out the national portrait gallery and discovered a great competition that gets you $25,000 for first place and an image in their annual show in London and catalog. Hopefully the year is even better than the last and soon I find out if I got in the hand full of shows and Grants I applied for over the last month.
