Total Opposites

I have been getting my work out there and last week while dropping off a photograph at a gallery, I found myself driving in the middle of a new subdivision somewhere outside of Sycamore, IL. Then suddenly the I realized the gallery was in someone’s home and then it all made sense. That’s why I couldn’t mapquest the address or even find a Gallery 1905 with a Google search. Maybe a pubisher might like my image while over for a dinner party, well Shit, at least I have to hope.

On another note, two of my photographs have been accepted in the Minnesota Center for Photography's Biennial Photocentric. I am very excited to be in the show with such accomplished Chicagraphers as Brian Ulrich, Greg Stimac, Nate Baker, Jason Lazarus and Jonathan Gitelson.

New Photographs

These are a few new images after my crit with artist with Daniel Martinez, who thought some most of my images are too comfortable. I still am trying to figure out what I am photographing and some feedback would be great. Also, last week I received my second weisman grant, and a special thanks to Judy Natal and Dawoud for helping me with the whole process.

Smelling the Roses

Taking a week break from building the booth and am totally exhausted. This week I am going to start making new work under my working title of "Delicate Relationships". I just need to make that first image to get me on my way and then I am off to the races! I am going to stop photographing my Aunt for a while and focus on people that are closer to my Chicago Life (Girlfriend, roommates and Chicago family). I also am working on titles and am open for ideas due to the horrible review of my working titles of my last body of work.
